Bring a coach on board, get paid for a year
If you already talk to coaches about how they track their matches, this pays you for the conversations you were having anyway. You send them your code, it takes 20% off their subscription, and you keep 40% of every payment they make for the next twelve months.
Last updated: 8 August 2026
What you earn
40% of every payment, for 12 months from the coach's first one. Not just the first month. If they stay a year, you get paid all year.
And your code takes 20% off for them, on both plans, for as long as they stay. You are not asking anyone to pay full price to help you out, and the discount does not expire on them later. It is enough to make the recommendation easy to accept.
These are per coach, not totals. Every coach you bring earns you their own commission, and nothing is capped.
Commission is 40% of what the coach actually pays, so with your 20% code applied:
- Pro monthly ($29, so $23.20 with your code): $9.28 a month for that coach, for up to 12 months. $111.36 if they stay the year.
- Pro yearly ($290, so $232 with your code): $92.80 for that coach, paid once when they subscribe.
- Club: priced per programme, so commission is agreed with you before you introduce them. Club deals are the biggest ones we do, so talk to us first rather than sending a link.
If a coach subscribes through your link without using the code, they pay full price and your 40% is bigger: $11.60 a month on Pro monthly, $116 on Pro yearly. In practice the code converts well enough to be worth the difference, so the figures below assume it is used.
What that adds up to
Per coach multiplied out, assuming each one stays the full twelve months:
| Coaches you bring | If they take Pro monthly (with your code) | If they take Pro yearly (with your code) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 coach | $111.36 | $92.80 |
| 5 coaches | $556.80 | $464 |
| 10 coaches | $1,113.60 | $928 |
| 25 coaches | $2,784 | $2,320 |
| 50 coaches | $5,568 | $4,640 |
The honest version of that table: it assumes nobody cancels. A volleyball season runs about eight months, so ten coaches who subscribe in September and stop when the season ends is closer to $742 than $1,113. Plan around the lower number and treat the rest as upside.
We put the weight on your side of this deliberately. A 40% cut and a 20% discount cost us about the same as a small cut and a big discount would, and we would rather the money reached the person doing the convincing. The discount is there to make the recommendation land, not to carry it.
Who this is a good fit for
This works when you already have the trust. It does not work as a link dropped into a comment section.
- Coaches with an audience. If you post drills, tactics or match breakdowns, your followers are exactly the people who need this.
- Club and programme directors. You talk to other clubs constantly, and you know which ones are still writing stats on paper.
- Statisticians and analysts. You already know what side-out percentage is worth. Explaining it is half your job.
- Coaches already using Volleyball Code. You are the most convincing voice we have, because you can show your own match instead of describing ours.
How it works
- You email us and we agree the terms. No form, no waiting list. We want to know who your audience is, because that tells us whether this is worth your time.
- We invite you in Creem. You will get an email invitation. Sign in at affiliates.creem.io with that same address and your link is at the top of the page, in the form
creem.io/affiliate?code=YOURCODE. Creem is our merchant of record, so it tracks the clicks and conversions and splits the commission itself. Nothing to install. Share the link, always. The 20% code below is what gets your audience the discount, but only the link records that the coach came from you, so a coach who uses the code without clicking your link first earns you nothing. - You share it. We will send you screenshots, a short clip of a rally being coded by voice, and a few sentences you can paste and edit. Use them or ignore them.
- You get paid. Your Creem portal shows clicks, conversions and pending against paid commission, so you are never waiting on us for a number. Creem pays you directly. Commission is settled in euros, so if you are quoting the dollar figures above to your audience, the amount that reaches you moves with the exchange rate.
The details, so nothing is a surprise
- 60-day cookie. If someone clicks your link and subscribes any time in the next 60 days, it counts as yours. Coaches rarely buy the day they first hear about something, especially mid-season.
- Last click wins. If a coach clicks two different affiliate links, the most recent one gets the commission.
- Refunds are clawed back. Every plan carries a 14-day money-back guarantee. If a coach refunds, the commission on that payment is reversed. It has to work this way, or the programme pays for refunds.
- Twelve months, then your commission ends. The clock starts at their first payment. Their 20% keeps running though, so nobody gets a price rise on the anniversary of taking your recommendation.
- You cannot refer yourself. Your own subscription, a second account of your own, or accounts you control do not earn commission.
- Your code is 20% off, and it is yours. It applies to Pro monthly and Pro yearly, and it holds for as long as that coach keeps the subscription, renewals included. Share it with your audience, not with the whole internet.
- Commission follows the discounted price. Your 40% is read off what the coach actually pays after the code, which is how Creem settles it. That is why the figures above are a little under 40% of the list price.
- Terms can change, with notice. Commission is read at the moment of each payment, so a change would affect future payments including renewals, never anything already paid to you. We will tell you before it happens.
What is not allowed
Short list, and none of it is unusual.
- No bidding on our name. Do not buy Google Ads on "Volleyball Code" or close variants. You would be charging us to reach people who were already looking for us.
- No spam. No unsolicited email, no mass DMs, no comment dumping. If it would annoy you, it will annoy a coach.
- No pretending to be us. Do not build a page that looks like our site, use our logo as your own profile, or describe yourself as an official account.
- No inventing features. Tell people what the app does, not what you wish it did. Our own pricing page is the source of truth, and we would rather lose a sale than set a coach up for disappointment.
- No coupon site listings. Discount aggregators intercept people who were already about to buy.
Breaking these ends the arrangement and voids unpaid commission. We would much rather have that written down here than have the conversation later.
Being straight with you about where we are
Volleyball Code is young. Paid plans have only just opened, so you would be among the first affiliates rather than joining something already running. That means the terms are still ours to shape together, and it means we are going to be genuinely useful to you: you can reach the person who built the product, not a partner manager.
It also means we would rather have five people who actually coach than five hundred link farms.
How to apply
Email contact@volleyballcode.com with the word Affiliate in the subject, and tell us:
- who you are and which teams or level you work with
- where you would share it, whether that is a following, a club network or your federation contacts
- whether you already use Volleyball Code yourself
A real person answers, usually within one working day.
Questions
Do I need to use the app to be an affiliate? No, but the ones who do convert far better, because they can show a real match instead of a screenshot.
What if the coach I refer starts on the free plan? The cookie lasts 60 days from their click, so if they upgrade inside that window it still counts. Free accounts on their own earn nothing, since nobody has paid anything.
Can I offer my audience a discount? Yes, that is built in now. The code is COACH20 and it takes 20% off Pro, monthly or yearly, for as long as they stay subscribed. Give it out with your link rather than on its own — your link is what credits the sale to you. For a club or a federation we can go further, but talk to us first.
Does the discount come out of my commission? Not out of your share, but your 40% is calculated on the discounted payment rather than the list price, so the two are linked. On Pro monthly that is $9.28 a month rather than $11.60. We stopped the discount at a fifth on purpose, so that most of what we give away reaches you rather than the buyer.
When do I get paid? Creem handles payouts directly to you. We will confirm the schedule and the minimum threshold when we set up your link, because that part is Creem's, not ours.
